The wedding cake is the surprise effect that the guests always await with great curiosity. Every year pastry chefs from all over the world realize increasingly new trends, both in terms of shapes and tastes. The trend is always focused on the spectacle, with the aim of surprising and keeping the guests full.

The cutting of the cake represents one of the most romantic moments of the wedding: the awaited “happy ending” of the great day which, together with the launch of the bride’s bouquet, marks the final moments of the reception. The goal therefore is to give free rein to the imagination to leave a pleasant and original memory before starting the dances and dismissing the guests.

Whatever the type of marriage and, therefore, of the chosen wedding cake, it is able to achieve the so-called “wow effect”. Better, of course, if the Wedding Cake is in keeping with the overall mood of the ceremony. Flower Cake

The traditional and timeless multi-story flower cakes. They represent “the culinary elegance” par excellence both in total white and in various colors. It is a type of cake that is normally served in a chic and elegant wedding, both square and circular. Often recalls the floral decoration chosen by the bride and above all her bouquet. Normally there are gerberas, roses, orchids, but also seasonal flowers. The flowers can be proposed in relief with 3D effect, paintings and both processes. In some cases, the real ones are inserted to give greater impact to the whole structure.

Naked Cake

The so-called naked cake, without decorations, which has been used for years. It does not have any sugar paste covering and it is possible to see the inside and the filling used. It is generally decorated with flowers or fresh fruit and can be as high as 10 cm up to four or five floors. The elegance of this cake depends above all on the precision of the various layers and on the decorations. Depending on the season it is possible to prefer warmer colors, such as chocolate brown in winter, softer colors when it is summer, naturally combining taste with the typical flavors of that period. It is normally associated with less formal marriages due to its simplicity of presentation.

Not one, but many small cakes. A winning alternative to the classic wedding cake, the single portions can be made in many flavors and the pyramid effect is among the most spectacular. Normally there are cupcakes and macarons that offer ample decoration possibilities suitable for any double mood. Surely they bring a breath of joy and freshness, whatever the style and atmosphere of the wedding leaving the guests surprised and intrigued. The cupcake tower is an alternative to waste. In fact the wedding cake is one of the dishes that perhaps is consumed less: everyone wants to taste it, but it is rare that it is completely finished. With single portions the problem does not exist: they allow to be taken away easily based on what is left over!
